Christian Service Brigade: Stockade Unit #1953

THE PROGRAM: 

Brigade is an interdenominational program for boys (Grades 2-6) involving games, crafts, and team-building skills. With a motto of “bright and keen for Christ”, each boy learns what it means to carry the Light of the Gospel to a world in darkness.

MEETINGS

·        Stockade meets on Tuesday nights at 6:45 p.m. at Trinitarian Congregational Church, 53 Cochicutate Road, Wayland, in the new gym. We encourage the boys to arrive promptly. If transportation becomes an issue, please call for assistance.

·        Meetings will end on-time at 8:15 p.m.; so please be prompt in picking up your son.

·        Meetings will follow the Wayland Public School schedule. If school is closed for a holiday or inclement weather, there will be no Stockade meeting. 

·        Meetings are active involving games and projects so boys should dress accordingly. Boys are expected to wear their uniform shirt, bring their achievement book, and Bible to each regular meeting.

PROJECTS AND SPECIAL MEETINGS

In addition to various crafts and projects, special events in the past have included: Slot Car Racing, Shape and Race Car Derby, a trip to the Higgins Armory Museum, New England Frontier Camp competition (third place trophy), and marching in the Memorial Day Parade.
