The Ground Breaking Ceremony on TCC's $8.1 million expansion and renovation was held under beautiful autumn skies on Sunday, September 9, 2007.  These photos depict many of the significant people that played a part in this historic ceremony, and also in the project to date.

Construction is expected to last about one year, with the church campus re-opening on September 1, 2008.

Kidder Wrecking started demolition on October 18.  The majority of the building was reduced to piles in just a few hours, by the deftly operated excavator and skid steer.  Kaplan employees sprayed water from garden hoses to keep the dust down.  Concrete, wood and metal were separated for recycling.  Kidder will continue work through next week, demolishing the remainder of the building and removing the concrete foundation.  The sanctuary was separated from the rest of the building by sawing through floor, walls and roof where it attached to the commons so it would not be damaged during demolition.  That entrance is now sealed with plywood.  Please take a look at the video below for some of the action.
