This Sunday

Gordon College Choir Here

This Sunday is a special one at TCC as the Gordon College Concert Choir will be our guests and will lead us in worship. This excellent choir has been touring down the Atlantic coast during their spring break and is looking forward to coming to TCC, enjoying a dinner on Saturday, hanging out and playing in the gym and Bradford Hall, and staying with our church families.

In addition to hearing excellent choral music, let’s be sure we take full advantage of having a large group of Christian college students in our midst. We encourage everyone to bring your children to worship with you and to mingle with the Gordon students after both services. Role models of Christian young adults are important to show to our children as often as we can, and Gordon is a great school we encourage all of our students to consider.

Jim will give a brief message from the Ephesians series, “Living a Worthy Life,” from Ephesians 4.1-6.

Upcoming Events

Men’s Retreat This Weekend – Are you Coming?

Just a reminder for anyone wishing to carpool; we are meeting at 6:45P tomorrow at the TCC Parking lot and will leave around 7:00 to travel up to Toah Nipi. Contact Lou at lsoiles@tccwayland.org; 774-275-0203 if you would like to carpool. The official start of the retreat is 8:30 P on Friday evening and we will end right after dinner (around 6:30 P) on Saturday evening. Don’t forget, the cost is $95 if you haven’t paid already.

All Church Prayer next Wednesday

The third Wednesday evening of every month we will be having a time of Corporate prayer at TCC and we invite everyone to join us! We will be praying in 30-minute intervals, beginning at 5:30P and going until 8:00P. You can participate in one or two prayer intervals or pray for the whole time – whatever works best for you. We will meet in Rm. 205. The Creed’s Class will not meet this week but will continue in its regular time slot on Wednesday March 24.

Holy Grounds Coffee House, March 27th from 7:30 - 9:30 P

Come enjoy bluegrass, folk, Celtic, and roots Americana music Saturday, March 27th from 7:30 - 9:30 P at the Holy Grounds Coffee House at TCC. Groups performing include the String Bean Pickers, new music from Ben Keyes, Tony Astolfi and his band, and our own Sam Bohall and her sister Josie Moore. The suggested donation is $5. All donations will go to The Orphan Network in Nicaragua which the TCC Youth Missions trip is doing a service project with during April vacation. Food and beverages are free.  For more information see www.TCCWayland.org.

Call Doug Sacra at 508-358-1615 or e-mail at Doug@MapleHillArchitects.com if you would like to volunteer to help with set up, take down, or food and drinks at the next coffee house.

Coffee Hour Coordinator Needed

We really need a new Coffee Hour Coordinator. Tonya Peck has been doing this job (and doing it wonderfully, thank you!!) for the past 2 years but is ready to step down. If you would like to know more about this volunteer position, please contact Tonya at tonya_rich17@comcast.net or 508-276-1553 or Debbie Wilson at the church office.

Have you signed up your small group to host a coffee hour yet? A new sign up sheet has just been posted and there are plenty of open dates. See the board at the Welcome Table, or call the church office.

March Madness:  Mad to Visit!

Our Visitation Ministry is recruiting in two ways:  1) If you know of anyone who may be in need of occasional or regular visits please call the office and let Debbie Wilson know.  2)  If you are interested in reaching out to our TCC community as a Visitation Minister (we visit the confined, recuperating etc.) please fill out a "TCC Visitation Ministry Opportunities" card from the bulletin board by the north entrance and put it in the box on the Welcome Table or phone Jim Santamaria 774-232-2758, Margie Langsdorf 508-545-0228 or Nancy Germain 508-655-3120.

Easter Lilies - Envelopes available

Donate an Easter lily to celebrate Christ’s Resurrection, or in loving memory, honor or celebration of someone special in your life. We would fill the sanctuary with their elegance, beautiful smell and significance. It is only $10 dollars and you can take one home after the second service or leave it for delivery to a shut in. Fill out an envelope at the Welcome Table on Sunday.

Resurrecting the Flower Guild

Join the Flower Guild and enjoy the pleasure of working with beautiful flowers and some truly expert arrangers. We work in pairs to do the arranging, (so don’t feel you have to be an expert) and get together several times a year for planning and fellowship. Contact Susan Thomas, the new Chairwoman of the Flower Guild, at 978-443-5940 or susan@thomasandcompany.com, or Debbie Wilson at the church office.

Flower Donations

Donate flowers to be placed in the Sanctuary niches on a specific Sunday to honor the memory or celebrate the blessing of someone special. Cost is $60-85, depending on flower choices.  After Easter, the schedule is wide open. Also, after the second service we’ll make a bouquet for you to enjoy at home and several to be used to spread the beauty and joy of flowers to others through our Visitation Ministry. Contact the church office for more information or to reserve a date.

Infant Baptism and Dedications, April 11

A service of baptism or dedication for children is being planned for Sunday, April 11. Any church member wanting their child baptized or dedicated is invited to participate. Please call the church office or go to the Welcome Table this Sunday for more information and/or to let them know you’d like to participate.

L’Abri Fellowship Lecture Series

L’Abri Fellowship, 49 Lynbrook Road, Southborough, MA, is offering a winter lecture series on Friday evenings, open to the public at no charge. This Friday, March 12 at 8:00 pm, Dick Keyes will present “Jesus’ Questions VII: Jesus’ Strategy for Undecepiton in our Favorite Parables”.
