Kelly Bishop, our Youth Director, will be our preacher this week, and her message will be from the Gospel of Mark 14: 32-52. Kelly received her Master’s of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2006. She and her husband of almost one year, Seth, reside in Framingham.

Rick and Debbie Sacra, Medical Missionaries in Liberia who have been back in the States on sabbatical for the past few months, will join us for one last Sunday this week before heading back to the mission’s field. 

Sunday Schedule Change Begins September 7th

The new Sunday morning schedule for TCC begins September 7th. Our church is offering two worship services, one at 9:30 and the second at 11:00 am that will be similar in worship style and format, along with multiple options in Christian Education for all age levels. More detailed information will be published in the September issue of Tidings, which will be in your mailboxes right after Labor Day.

Memorial Service for Tressie Garrison this Saturday 

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Tressie Garrison, Patty Simmons’ mother, will be held at 11:00 am this Saturday at the Westgate Church in Weston, MA. A luncheon reception will immediately follow the service and all are invited to attend.

Interment will take place in the Garrison family lot in Cedar Grove Cemetery in New London, CT on Monday, August 25^th. Memorial donations in Tressie’s memory may be made to the Deacons’ Fund.

Memorial Service for Bill Winter

Bill Winter, Jo Marshall’s son-in-law, passed away last Sunday. Calling hours will be from 5-8 pm this Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home in Wayland. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 25^th at 4:00 pm at the Martha Mary Chapel in Sudbury.

Young Families Gathering after Church This Sunday

There will be a Young Families Gathering behind Bradford Hall immediately following the service this Sunday. It will happen "rain or shine", so be sure to bring play clothes. Please join us for fun, games and fellowship. Light refreshments will be served, but contributions are welcome. For more information or to RSVP please contact Alynda Foreman at alyndaforeman@yahoo.com. We hope to see you there!

The Boston Project Ministries

Please help The Boston Project Ministries with SCHOOL SUPPLY DONATIONS for kids in Dorchester.  Items Needed:

 - Backpacks

 - Children's Scissors

 - 2 Pocket Fashion Folders (Pictures on Cover)

 - 3 Subject Notebooks

 - Pens, Pencils and Colored Pencils

  - Calculators

  - Markers

A box will be located in the lobby of the Middle School on Sunday morning for all donations.

Choir

Senior Choir rehearsals will begin on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. The senior choir will assist in worship leadership at both services beginning September 7. Please join us as we worship the Lord together through our music.

TWIGS

Registrations are now being accepted for TWIGS--our Thursday women's Bible study. Twigs will begin meeting on Thursday, September 25th. (Morning session: 9:15-11:10 a.m.; Evening session: 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.) More information and registration forms are available on our website (www.tccwayland.org) or at the Welcome Table on Sunday morning.

We will begin with an 11-week study of the book of Hebrews--a beautiful book which reveals the supremacy of Jesus Christ and God's plan through the ages to meet our deepest needs. Please join us. For more information, contact Beth Pocock (508-358-7717 Ext 213) or Stella Robertson (508-358-6605).

Mom to Mom

Mom to Mom (MtM) is beginning its 16^th year of ministry on September 26th. MtM is a program offered to any mom with children living at home and addresses issues and needs of the women and their families, supporting and encouraging them, guided by Biblical principles.

The program meets on Friday mornings, from 9:15-11:10 a.m., at Saint Ann’s Church in Wayland. There is childcare available, but children must be registered in advance.

Sunday Morning Volunteers Still Needed

Over 80 volunteers are needed each Sunday to make the Services and programming happen at TCC!

The areas served by volunteers include:

• Set up, Moving and Take down crews
• Welcome Table and Ushering teams
• Music, Worship and Tech Support teams
• Coffee Hour set up, service and clean up
• Children’s Ministries
• Youth Ministries

To make all this happen, we need everyone within the church family to prayerfully consider their God given gifts and talents. No experience is necessary, guidance and training will be provided.   Where can you help?
