Are you married or in a long-term relationship? Would you like your relationship to be the best it can be? If you answered “yes” to those questions then this course is for you. The Marriage Course is for any couple, whether you have been together for one year or sixty one years, and whether you feel you have a strong relationship or are struggling. Whatever your situation, the practical tools you learn through this course will help improve and strengthen your relationship.

Over seven sessions you will discover practical tools to help you:

  • Understand each other’s needs
  • Communicate more effectively
  • Grow closer through resolving conflict
  • Heal the ways you’ve hurt each other
  • Recognize how your upbringing affects your relationship
  • Improve relationships with parents and in-laws
  • Develop greater sexual intimacy
  • Discover each other’s love languages and much more

·        For couples in the military and those facing extended times apart, there is an additional session to help you prepare for the pressures these times bring

Each session will begin with you being seated at a romantic table for two where you will be served a meal and where you will have space to relax and chat.  Following the meal you will join together as a group for practical talks that are informative and fun. And, during each session there will be time provided to talk on your own as a couple. You will be given a topic to discuss or an exercise to do as a couple.

Volunteer Opportunities

Dinner Team Needed for TCC Marriage Course - Would you come to a lunch meeting next Wednesday, September 8th from 12:00-1:30P in the parlor?

We'll feed you and hopefully we can brainstorm and plan together. We realize this could be a big job and we'd love not to have to burden any one person or group with this; perhaps we can have a different host - or group or hosts- each of the 7 evenings, maybe we bring in the main course from a restaurant and just do salads and desserts. There is a lot we can do if we brain storm together!

If you enjoy hosting dinners, cooking and serving, as well as welcoming guests, God may be calling you to this short-termed ministry.  Please RSVP for the lunch meeting to Debbie at pastcare@tccwayland.org or 508-358-7717, x 312.

The New Coffee Hour sign up sheet dates are wide open for the fall!

Please remember that if no one commits, we can only offer coffee which would exclude all other refreshments as well as fresh cream! Preparation is really easy. Directions are provided, and the coffee pots are plugged in when you arrive. See the sign-up sheet at the Welcome Table, or call the church office @ 508-358-7717.
